Industrial Profile-Matched Translucent Roofing & Cladding
Maximizing natural daylighting within industrial buildings, steel warehouses, logistics parks, and pre-engineered buildings (PEB) drastically reduces continuous electrical energy consumption. Paneltech International LLC manufactures precision-molded Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) and high-performance Polycarbonate (PC) translucent skylight sheets engineered specifically to interlock seamlessly with PTI 32/250 corrugated profiles and composite sandwich panel systems.
Produced with heavy-duty thicknesses starting at 1.5mm and reinforced with advanced woven fiberglass matrices or virgin polycarbonate resins, our translucent panels eliminate risk of brittle fracture under high wind load, hail impact, and dynamic thermal movement. Both faces are shielded by bonded, cross-linked polyester barrier films and co-extruded UV stabilizers, preventing micro-crazing, yellowing, and degradation from extreme solar ultraviolet irradiance and abrasive desert dust storms typical of Oman and the broader Middle East region.
>80% Light Diffusion
Transmits clear, soft, diffused natural daylight that prevents severe hot-spots and glare on operational factory floors.
UV & Chemical Shield
Protective surface films resist chemical vapors, acid rain, moss, lichen growth, and aggressive coastal marine atmospheres.
PTI 32/250 Matching
Exact crest and trough geometry provides leak-proof lap joints alongside standard metal profiles and insulated panels.
System Configurations: Single-Skin & Double-Layered Insulated GRP
Industrial specifications vary depending on building climate control parameters:
- Double-Layered GRP Translucent Panels: Manufactured with an integrated thermal air cavity, double-skin GRP assemblies deliver enhanced U-value performance while maintaining identical lap compatibility with thick PIR, PU, and Rockwool sandwich panels. This prevents interior moisture condensation and preserves building thermal envelope balance in air-conditioned facilities.
- Single-Skin High-Impact Polycarbonate Sheets: Best suited for uninsulated open sheds, agricultural warehouses, dynamic sports structures, car parking canopies, and exterior pedestrian walkways where maximum impact resistance (88 kg-cm/cm Izod) and elevated light transmission (88%) are required.

Specified Industrial Applications
Engineered for high structural reliability, chemical corrosion protection, and harsh outdoor ambient conditions up to +55°C:
Handling, Fastening & Thermal Expansion Detailing
Because thermal expansion coefficients of GRP and polycarbonate differ from cold-formed steel and aluminium profiles, correct site installation practices must be adhered to:
- Fastener holes should be oversized by 2mm to 3mm relative to fastener shank diameters to facilitate natural seasonal thermal expansion without buckling or slot cracking.
- Always apply EPDM bonded washers with wide-flange bearing distribution to eliminate localized point-loading on sheet crests.
- Continuous neutral non-curing butyl sealant ribbons should be specified on all side and end overlaps to ensure certified air and water tightness under driving rain and cyclonic winds.

Key information for engineering consultants, MEP estimators, and building cladding contractors.
PTI translucent sheets are roll-profiled and molded to match PTI Corrugated Profile 32/250 precisely. For insulated sandwich panel assemblies, PTI supplies custom double-layered GRP systems that provide matching thermal performance and direct interlock with panel crests.
Our GRP sheets feature a thermosetting UV-stabilized polyester resin matrix bonded with high-grade protective polyester films on exposed surfaces. Polycarbonate sheets incorporate co-extruded UV-absorbent layers that prevent discoloration, surface erosion, and embrittlement under intense solar radiation.
Single-skin polycarbonate sheets provide supreme impact toughness (88 kg-cm/cm Izod) and up to 88% optical clarity, ideal for open canopies, walkways, and uninsulated warehouse roofs. Double-layered GRP panels are engineered with an insulating air space specifically for climate-controlled buildings and sandwich panel installations to prevent thermal bridging and condensation.
Our sheets are rigorously tested according to international ASTM standards, including ASTM D638 for tensile properties, ASTM D790 for flexural strength, ASTM D2583 for Barcol hardness, ASTM D792 for specific gravity/density, ASTM C518 for thermal conductivity, and ASTM D1003 for optical transmittance.
