Precision Roll-Formed Profiles

High-Tensile Galvanized Purlins & Girts

Paneltech International LLC manufactures an extensive portfolio of high-precision structural C and Z purlins, roof girts, and eaves framing for industrial warehouses, pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB), aircraft hangars, commercial canopies, and agricultural developments. Manufactured at our state-of-the-art facility in Barka, Sultanate of Oman, our structural cold-formed profiles provide unmatched load-to-weight efficiency, superior dimensional consistency, and lasting corrosion resistance.

Supplied plain or fully custom pre-punched with elongated and round holes on automated multi-tool punching lines, our cold-formed sections eliminate on-site cutting, measuring, and re-drilling errors. The crisp, square corner radii and accurate roll-formed profiles ensure rapid bolt-up assembly on site, significantly compressing structural steel erection schedules while strictly complying with international structural design codes.

Structural Geometry

Z-Section vs. C-Section Applications

Engineered cold-formed geometry optimized for roof purlins, side wall girts, door headers, and mezzanine floor joists.

Continuous Span Framing

Structural Z-Purlins

Z-sections are engineered with asymmetric top and bottom flange widths, enabling identical profiles of the same depth to nest and lap neatly together over intermediate portal frame rafters. In multi-bay commercial and industrial steel structures, continuous lapping doubles the steel thickness over supports, substantially increasing bending capacity and reducing both structural deflection and overall steel tonnage.

  • Ideal for continuous, lapped spans in multi-bay roofs and cladding walls
  • Achieves high load-bearing capacity with lighter base metal thickness
  • Eliminates rafter moment overload via reinforced double-thickness lap joints
Simple Span & Girt Framing

Structural C-Purlins

C-sections feature uniform symmetric flanges with returned stiffening lips, providing exceptional axial rigidity and structural stability. Although C-sections cannot be nested or lapped across continuous spans, their clean rectangular geometry makes them the premier choice for simply supported single spans, eaves struts, end-wall girts, door frames, window trimmers, and floor header beams where flush face fixing is critical.

  • Perfect for single-span bays, gable frames, and standalone roof verandas
  • Provides flush surface alignment for perimeter flashing and fascia panels
  • High torsional stability during construction handling and fastening

Profile Dimensions & Designations

Paneltech utilizes an internationally recognized designation system: Section Depth (mm) + Profile Type (Z or C) + Thickness (mm × 10). Example: 232 Z 18 designates a 232 mm deep Z-purlin with 1.8 mm thickness.

Section Code Profile Depth (mm) Flanges (mm) Lip (mm) Thickness (mm) Weight (kg/m) Yield Strength

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions regarding structural selection, punching configurations, and regional standards.

All Paneltech Z and C sections are manufactured from premium structural hot-dipped galvanized steel coil complying with BS EN 10346:2015. We utilize steel grade S450GD with a guaranteed minimum yield strength of 450 N/mm² (450 MPa) and a minimum zinc coating mass of Z275 (275 g/m² total both sides). Higher coating masses and custom grades are available upon consultant request.

Due to the asymmetric flange profiles of our Z-sections, adjacent purlins nest inside one another across internal rafters. By lapping members over support cleats (typically 10% to 15% of the total span length), the combined double section effectively doubles bending resistance where negative moments are highest, allowing structural engineers to specify thinner gauge steel across larger column grids.

Yes. Our Barka roll-forming lines feature integrated multi-tool CNC punch presses. We can punch standard 14mm or 18mm round holes and elongated slotted holes (for expansion and structural alignment) precisely positioned according to your fabrication drawings, eliminating manual field layout and torch cutting.

Every shipment is backed by factory test certification, EN 10204 Type 3.1 Mill Test Certificates verifying base metal chemical composition, yield strength, tensile elongation, and zinc coating thickness, alongside our comprehensive handling and storage guidelines.
